He is motivated each day through the interaction with colleagues in the hospital to improve the health of patients who are dealing with acute gastrointestinal conditions. Dr Ferrer credits his grandparents as having the biggest influence in his life. They helped him develop a deep appreciation of family that helped build his character, develop his desire to care for others and harness his attention for detail.
